Start with the part, then choose the filament.

Think about what the part needs to do, where it will be used, and the finish you want. Material choice and print settings work together; a material name alone is not a guarantee of performance.

PLA or PETG?

PLA is a useful starting point for models, decorative objects and prototypes. PETG is worth considering for organizers, enclosures and general functional parts. Check the exact formulation, part design and printing guidance rather than assuming PETG is better for every job.

Choose the finish for your idea

• PLA Silk — for a silky visual finish on display pieces.
• PLA Wood — for wood-inspired color and texture. It is a printing filament, not solid wood.
• PLA Glow — for glow-in-the-dark effects that vary with light exposure and viewing conditions.

Check these before ordering

1. Confirm the exact material, color and spool format.
2. Check filament diameter, nozzle requirements and your printer guidance.
3. Use catalogue temperatures as a starting reference, then tune your own printer.
4. Ask for a physical color sample when a close color match matters.

Do not assume suitability for food contact, hot-car conditions or safety-critical loads. Those applications need specific evidence and testing.
